I agree that it is tongue-in-cheek, but not so obviously that everyone gets it. Quite frankly, I think that it occupies some chunk of the gray area between parody/commentary and straight, indistinguishable imitation (I guess I mean the music here more than the video). The video is clearly over the top, to be sure, but I am not sure that this makes it ok.
