You can call him an eccentric or a bum, but in a big way he was a symbol for Detroit and what it has become in recent years. Does he represent what Heman embodies? Certainly not, but respect must be paid when it is due.

I hope that someday my age will only be known through a friend and the date of birth I give police from when I reported being punched in the stomach.
I stand corrected: having to create a birth date for the police regarding an assault is exactly what Heman is all about.
